Denman is off to the Yukon

I am very excited to be among the delegates and speakers at the Available Light Film Festival in Whitehorse. This is Canada’s largest feature film festival north of 60˙ and, from what I hear, it is awesome. The 14th edition of the festival will include 30+ fiction and documentary films from around the world, four multi-disciplinary performances, workshops and the 5-day ALFF Media Industry Forum with filmmakers and industry delegates.

While I’m there I will be joining the very fine Nicholas Klassen from the NFB on a panel called Next Waves in Digital Media moderated by Vanessa Corkal. We’re going to be talking about interactive storytelling, producing for multiple platforms, and the explosion in virtual reality.

This will be my first time to the Yukon and I’m very excited to be going, especially in the heart of winter. Can’t wait to get a look at those northern lights.

The Available Light Film Festival runs from February 7-14. If you’re up there please come see my panel and say hi, or ping me on twitter @seanembury.
